Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (PEP)

The PEP Archive DVD

The PEP Archive was originally published in CD and later DVD form in 1998. But, CD’s and DVD’s were discontinued after 2009, and the last version published was PEP Archive DVD v9 (2009). The Web version of The PEP Archive is the up to date full-text archive, and contains many more journals and books.

Spanning a period of over 120 years, like PEP-Web, the PEP Archive DVD contains the full text of the Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud (Published by the Institute of Psychoanalysis and Hogarth Press,1953-1974, edited by J. Strachey), and German, Gesammelte Werke, including Editorial Notes translated from the GW (published by FischerVerlag 1938-1987).

The DVD contains 37 premier journals in psychoanalysis with full-text through 2006, and 58 classic psychoanalytic books.  (In contrast, PEP-Web contains 59 premier journals and contains the full text of articles whose source ranges from 1871 through 2011. It also allows full-text search of articles through 2015, but only abstracts or summaries can be read due to embargoes from the publishers. )

Support for the PEP DVD Archive ended in 2015.
