To find this page from the PEP-Web homepage, first login to your personal PEP account using the Sign In form.
Next, ensure that your Preferences settings include the “Most Cited” Info Card. To do this click on the Preferences icon on the main toolbar at the top. From the dropdown list select “Preferences”. A menu box will appear in the center of the screen. In the Sidebar list on the right, select the Info card entitled, “Most Cited” and click “Done”:
Next, from the homepage, in the right-hand panel click on the Info Card entitled “Most Cited“. It will open to show a list of hyperlinked articles. At the bottom of this list of articles is a link, “View all” – click the link to open the “Most Cited” data page.
At the top of the left-hand panel, enter information such as the time period (5 years, 10 years, etc), author’s name, article title, and/or select a journal title into the relevant Search fields and then click the ‘Filter’ button to display results.
Please note, citation counts are calculated based on the current stage of reference matching on PEP-Web. The counts may change as we adjust incorrect reference data in the database and based on the sensitivity of our heuristic matching and whether or not a reference is an exact match, including the source, to what’s in PEP-Web.
